U11B have a winning start to the new season with victories over St Georges and Corinthians!

Union Mills Under 11 B had a winning start to the season at the NSC 18th October.

UM B (2) vs St Georges(0)

Overall the team played well and peppered to St Georges goal throughout the game,  hiting the post, blazing over and wide on several occasions but ran out worthy winners with two goals from Isaac Quilliam. A deserved Max Morley was man of the match and unlucky to not have got on the scoresheet himself.

UM B (2) vs Corinthians (1)

Another good overall performance with Max turning gamekeeper instead of poacher by going in goal, fantastic save from a penalty in the second half and intelligent distribution from the back.

A great first strike from James Harrison was followed by a smart finish from Tommy Kenny in a new captains centre midfield role for the game!!!. If Liverpool had a bizarre goal on Sat 17th, we managed to somehow allow a ball from the left side (after some good skill by the opposition forward!) to roll along the goal line past the goalkeeper and trundle in at the far post for for 2-1.

Overall we probably should've scored more, some great touches from Tommy Callow in the 1st half saw him selected as MOM.
